Though accounting for only 47% of registered voters in Easttown Township, 65% of the members on current Boards and Commissions are Republican! We need more Democratic voices speaking up at Board and Commission meetings so please make a difference and volunteer.
Parks and Recreation Board Vacancy
Easttown Township seeks a volunteer for a vacant position on its Parks and Recreation Board (PRB). As an advisory body, the PRB makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on recreational events and plans for the acquisition, construction, improvement, maintenance, equipping, operation, financing, and regulation of Township recreation facilities, including but not limited to, parks, trails, playgrounds, and playfields. Interested candidates must be residents of the Township and have availability on the evenings of the third Tuesday each month for regular business meetings. Historical Commission Openings
Easttown Township seeks volunteers for two (2) new openings on its Historical Commission (HC). As an advisory body, the HC provides historical preservation information to residents and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on the rehabilitation, preservation, adaptive reuse, restoration, and acquisition of significant historical structures and sites. The term of these two (2) new openings expire December 31, 2023. Environmental Advisory Council Openings
Easttown Township intends to create an Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) in 2021 and seeks volunteers for five (5) new openings. As a new advisory body, the EAC is proposed to advise the Board of Supervisors, Township Administration, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Board, Citizens Advisory Committee, and Historical Commission on matters dealing with the protection, conservation, management, promotion, and use of natural resources, including air, land, and water resources.
Interested candidates must be residents of the Township and have availability one (1) evening (to be determined) of each month for regular business meetings. The terms of these five (5) new openings expire as follows: one (1) term to expire January 04, 2022; two (2) terms to expire January 03, 2023; and two (2) terms to expire January 02, 2024.
