Easttown Zoning Board Berwyn Square Hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 30
October 30, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Zoning Hearing Board consists of three volunteer residents appointed to 3-year overlapping terms and two alternates appointed to 3-year terms by the Board of Supervisors. The Board is a quasi-judicial body whose decisions are not subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
This meeting will focus on a project called Berwyn Square that would redevelop the block where Handel’s Ice Cream is currently located. It’s expected that both the developer and citizens will be commenting on the proposal.
Some residents feel that the project is too large and will create too much traffic and density for the area. Other residents are very excited about seeing downtown Berwyn rejuvenated with more density and housing choices to increase diversity and options for younger and older residents who would like to live within walking distance of a train station, restaurants and some retail.
