Support Local Charities and Donate Your Time or Items on MLK Day, Monday Morning, Jan. 20

LOCAL VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS NEEDED – In honor of Martin Luther King Day, State Rep. Melissa Shusterman and Mt. Zion AME Church are hosting a day of service event from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Jan. 20 at Mt. Zion AME Church, 380 N. Fairfield Road in Devon. Please donate your time to help pack boxes or the following items are needed to distribute to organizations in need:
- food donations
- new socks
- backpacks
- school supplies
- gloves
- hats
- new socks
- supplies
- feminine hygiene products
- laundry detergent
- sheets
- postage stamps
- winter weather clothing items
- foot powder
The event will benefit the following organizations:
- Socks for Seniors
- Walker House
- The Clinic – Phoenixville
- Surrey Services for Seniors
- Trinity House and Student Closet – West Chester University.
