Racism Lecture at Easttown Library – Please Attend and Join the Discussion

Attend a provocative and informative lecture by Easttown resident Anita Friday. Anita is a lawyer who teaches classes on racism and who because of her back ground as a person of color understands this topic. She is closely aligned with Bryan Stevenson, a lawyer and writer who started the Equal Justice Initiative and opened the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama.

The discussion will include a historically based definition of racism and explore questions such as: “How Did We Get Here?” “Is it over?” What Can Be Done?” We all have biases about many things. It is time to realize we have them and understand where they came from and what we can do about them.

The lecture is at the Easttown Library from 1Pm to 3PM on Saturday, March 30th. There is no charge to attend.

Please call Judi Larkin 610-724-5261 or email Larkinjudi@gmail.com to register and for more details. It will be helpful to know in advance how many are coming.
